Yao-Chi Chuang is a Professor in the Division of Urology at the Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, and School of Medicine, College of Medicine, National Sun Yat-sen University Taiwan.

After graduating from the National Yang-Ming University School of Medicine in 1988, Dr Chuang completed his residency in urology at Veterans General Hospital, Taipei. He was awarded a research Fellowship in the Department of Pharmacology and Urology at the University of Pittsburgh in 1999–2000, where he worked with Professor deGroat, Chancellor, and Yoshimura on the study of physiology and pharmacology of lower urinary tract.

Dr Chuang is a member of both the Surgical and Urology Associations of Taiwan. He is immediate past president of Taiwanese Continence Society.
He has a particular interest in neuro-urology, female urology, and minimal invasive treatment for prostate disease. Dr Chuang is continuous working on the research of IC/PBS, OAB, UAB, DM related lower urinary tract dysfunction (LUTD), and use of low energy shock wave, botulinum toxin, and liposome for the treatment of LUTD.

Dr Chuang has published over 150 peer-reviewed articles, and he also serves as reviewers for many scientific journals. He has been invited to give lectures more than 100 times in the national and international meeting.

Dr Chuang has won awards from Lapides Essay Contest for 6 times, and Taiwan Urological Association for 9 times. Dr Chuang has received research grant from Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan since 2001, and NIH from 2003 to 2005.

Dr Chuang is an editorial member of International Urology and Nephrology, Asia Journal of Urology, and LUTS. Dr Chuang is the chief editor of Urological Science, official journal of Taiwan Urological Association.

Prof. Rassweiler started his Urological Education 1982 at Katharinenhospital Stuttgart. From 1988 to 1994 he was Vice-chair of the Department of Urology Medical School Mannheim). He was involved in the clinical introduction of extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy including three generations of lithotripters. 1992 he was the first German Urologist to perform a laparoscopic nephrectomy. 1994 he became Chairman of the Department of Urology and Pediatric Urology at SLK Kliniken Heilbronn, University of Heidelberg. 2020 he was president of the German Society of Urology (DGU). 2022 he was elected as chair of the faculty of Urology and Andrology of the Danube Private University in Krems, Austria.

Dr Xiancheng Yu is a research associate in the Human Experience, Analysis and Design Lab at
Imperial College London. In 2020, he received his PhD in biomechanics from the Centre for Blast
Injury Studies (CBIS) at Imperial College London, which was funded by the Royal British Legion to
further the research about blast injury patterns, treatments and recovery and better ways of
protecting military personnels.
Dr Yu’s research focuses on the biomechanics of traumatic brain injury, which are induced by blast
and impact loadings. He has done extensive work to investigate an understudied mechanism for
blast-induced traumatic brain injury: the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) cavitation. Both advanced
experimental and computational techniques have been used to demonstrate the occurrence,
mechanism, threshold and implication of blast-induced CSF cavitation.

Counting with more than 30 years as Rheumatologist and Sports Medicine Specialist, Dr. Karin
Freitag has stablished her position as a pioneer in regenerative medicine translational
medicine, specially applied to the musculoskeletal system. Her passion for research has led Dr.
Freitag to set a Regenerative Medicine Unit among Clínica DKF, her Clinic of which she is the
Director, becoming a national referent of the most advanced treatments in this field.
Dr. Freitag ́s pursue in researching for non-invasive treatments for orthopaedic
applications has led her to investigate the biological effect of shockwave therapy. In 2011 Dr.
Freitag co-founded the Spanish Society for Shockwave Therapy stablishing herself as president
until 2015. In 2021 Dr. Freitag was chosen as board member of the prestigious International
Society Medical Shockwave Therapy (ISMST).

Hamid Hosano received his Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering from Tohoku University,
Sendai, Japan, in 1999.
He was a Lecturer at Sharif University of Technology, from 1990 to 1996. He served as
Research Associate and Associate Professor at Tohoku University, from 1999 to 2006. From
2006 to 2008, he was a Visiting Professor at the Department of Bioengineering, University of
Washington, Seattle.
In 2008, he joined Kumamoto University as a Professor, where he is currently a faculty
member of the Biomaterials and Bioelectrics Department, the Institute of Industrial
Nanomaterials, and the Graduate School of Science and Technology.
His research interests are shock waves, pulsed power, and their biomedical application;
bioelectrics; micro-fluidics; therapeutic ultrasound; and drug/vaccine/nanoparticle delivery.

Dr. Hung-Jen Wang graduated from Kaohsiung medical university in
1997 and finished his urology residency training in 2000 from Kaohsiung

research fellow. He is currently the chief of department of urology, and

Dr. Cheng received his Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Biotechnology, National Chung Hsing University. He joined the Division of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Research of National Health Research Institutes and Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital as a postdoctoral fellow in 2004 and 2008 respectively. During this period, he learned the valuable characteristic of new drug research, protein science, cancer cell biology, membrane protein study, genetic study and survey. In 2013, Dr. Cheng collaborated with Professor Ching-Jen Wang at the Center for Shockwave Medicine and Tissue Engineering in Kaohsiung Chang Gung Memorial Hospital to study the mechanisms of extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT) and cell therapy for musculoskeletal diseases, including osteochondral defect, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and osteonecrosis of the femoral head. More recently, Dr. Cheng has also focused on the treatments and mechanisms of spinal cord injury using ESWT and cell therapy in a rat model.

Dr. Chou Wenyi, the associate professor of the Orthopedic department at Kaohsiung Chang Gung memorial hospital, is currently the chief of the sports medicine center of the affiliated hospital. Dr. Chou specialized in sports medicine, shockwave medicine, and diseases of the shoulder, elbow, and knee joints. Dr. Chou actively participated in the promotion of sports injuries and protection. He takes care of the elite athletes in National Athlete Training Center and is named as the team physician of the professional baseball players in China Professional Baseball League, including Uni-President Lions and CITIC Brothers. He has also served as the national team doctor of the Asian game and Olympic game since 2014 till now. Dr. med.Hannes Müller-Ehrenberg (MD) born in Mainz (Germany)
received his medical education in Cologne (Germany). He trained as an
orthopedic surgeon in England and Germany where he began to pursue
a specialized interest in trigger point therapy. After receiving his
orthopedic specialization degree, Dr. Mueller-Ehrenberg opened his own
orthopedic Office in Münster (Germany). In the last 20 years, he has
been actively involved in the training of myofascial trigger point therapy
teaching the „Swiss approach“. Together with some noted German
experts of pain and myofascial trigger points, including Prof. Siegfried
Mense, he founded the German Myofascial Pain Society MGMS
(Medizinische Gesellschaft für myofasziale Schmerzen) of whom he was
the President from 2006 to 2016. He is presently on many national and
international congresses as an active speaker. He was the first medical
therapist to acknowledge the great advantages of focused shockwave
therapy ESWT as a tool in the diagnosis and treatment of trigger points
and myofascial pain.
Dr. Müller-Ehrenberg is a member of the teaching board and an active
speaker of following medical scientific societies:
